And Peter Crouch has picked up a piece of prime property, paying £4.5million for Andrew Flintoff’s Cheshire mansion.
The six-bedroom property will be perfect for Peter, wife Abbey and their six-month-old daughter Sophia as they make the move north.

The Crouch family are moving north after Peter transferred from Tottenham Hotspur to Stoke City.

A friend told the The People: ‘Abbey worried over leaving London but she’s chuffed to be in Alderley Edge.

The property, which consists of 10,200 square feet of living space, is not only close to Manchester, which boasts a Harvey Nichols and a Selfridges for Abbey’s shopping needs, but it is also fairly close to Liverpool, where she grew up. Cricketer Freddie Flintoff originally bought the plot for £1.85 million and knocked down the existing house to built the current one for his wife Rachel and their three children.
The property was put on the market for £5million but after two years without selling it Freddie cut the price and it was snapped up by Peter and Abbey.
