The 27-year-old actress looked great in a Sixties-style black shift dress featuring gold embroidered detailing as she arrived for an appearance on The David Letterman Show in the Big Apple on Tuesday.

She was appearing on the late night show to discuss her new movie as she continues her epic promotional trial.

Compared to her co-star Anne Hathaway, who had worn bondage-style boots at the event, Amanda went for a more conventional look in a strapless gown featuring a gold embellished bust and black flowing skirt.
Amanda accentuated her tiny waist by cinching the ensemble in at the waist with a tortoiseshell belt.

The porcelain-skin star did a smokey eye and nude lipstick for make-up and wore gold studs in her ears.
The stunning Mamma Mia star posed on the red-carpet with both co-stars Sacha Baron Cohen, who plays the role of Monsieur Thenardier and Russell Crowe, who portrays Inspector Javert.

Amanda starred alongside the hunky actor in 2010 romantic drama Dear John and she admits he's been her favourite co-star because he's so handsome as well as being such a good husband to his wife Jenna Dewan.
She said: 'Channing was amazing. He's a superstar.

Amanda is currently single and says she finds it frustrating to be linked with every man she comes into contact with.
The blue-eyed beauty - who previously dated her Mamma Mia! co-star Dominic Cooper - told America's InStyle magazine: 'The thing is, I can't date anybody without it being portrayed as a serious relationship. It sucks! Like Josh Hartnett and I were friends; we hung out, we dated. I don't actually have sex with every male I come into contact with.'
